OVERVIEW

  • School lifts with lifting to extra murals, running family errands when necessary and providing companionship for children and supervision of play dates
  • Engaging in fun activities such as arts and crafts, baking, trampolining and other outdoor activities

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bilingual English/Afrikaans
  • Own reliable / roadworthy transport and valid SA Driver’s license
  • Energetic individual to be able to keep up with two young children aged 3 and 5 years old
  • Clear credit and criminal record not negotiable
  • Be available to start by mid-November 2019
  • Minimum 2 years au pairing experience
  • Female only!
 
HOURS & DAYS
  • Monday to Thursday:  13h00 – 17h00
 
REMUNERATION
  • R5500 – R8000 per month plus petrol
  • NB: Remuneration is determined by candidate’s level of experience and qualifications
 

 

OVERVIEW

  • Female, highly qualified and experienced governess (age 30 – 40 yrs) required for family with one child (3 years old)
  • Child care / au pairing must be dedicated career choice
  • Position is to support parents and not take over full care of child
  • General duties include fetching from school, taking to extra murals, assisting with age appropriate skills, preparing snacks and lunches, bath time and preparing dinner, getting child ready for bed, helping manage household, schedules, play-dates and appointments
  • Able to travel locally and internationally with family (will be required to travel 18 Dec 2019  – 10 Jan 2020)
 
TIMES & DAYS
  • Mondays to Fridays:  12h30 – 18h00.  Will require flexibility on working hours
  • School holidays may extend to full day
  • Will work on a contracted number of hours and pay overtime if this is exceeded
  • Baby sitting Wednesday nights and some Friday nights and weekends
 
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must have own car and valid SA driver’s license – clean driving record
  • Must be available to live-in (stunning cottage!)
  • Non smoker
  • Single with no dependents
 
REMUNERATION
  • R14 000 per month plus petrol (experience dependent)
  • Inclusive of accommodation (own entrance & driveway)

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • MALE candidates only!
  • Be available to work Monday to Friday 06h30 – 15h30
  • Start date: 8 October 2019. Must be able to commit for minimum of 6 months or possibly longer depending on facilitation requirements
  • Experience working with and/or engaging with teenagers who have Autism (male 15 years old)
  • A sincere interest in remedial / special needs children
  • Previous facilitation experience a definite advantage
  • Own reliable vehicle and valid SA driver’s license not negotiable
  • Clear criminal record

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Collect from home at 6.30 am Mon-Fri to take to school
  • To guide and assist the student during the first lesson of the day. The school day runs from 07.30 am to 15.30 pm and no homework is given; the first lesson of the day is a ‘self study’ session, what would normally constitute homework
  • To remind him to take regular toilet breaks
  • To accompany him to most of his classes (whether or not facilitation is required in all classes will be confirmed with the school at the beginning of the 4th term)
  • To ensure he understands what is required of him in each class
  • To ensure he stays on-task during classwork and does not get easily distracted
  • To clarify any areas of question or concern he might have during assignments and tests
  • To liaise with his parents providing immediate feedback of any concerns, as well as positive feedback
  • To provide parents with weekly status reports of his activities, progress, concerns during the school week
